Degrees
PG Programmes (MBA / PGP) at the IIMs
The Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), now an MBA degree at most IIMs, is the flagship two-year, full-time residential programme. It is the most prestigious management qualification in India and the core offering across all IIMs.
Programme structure
The PGP / MBA spans two years, beginning with a common core of management fundamentals followed by electives and specialisations. A summer internship between the two years is a crucial recruitment and learning milestone.
Specialisations
Common areas include finance, marketing, operations, strategy, human resources, and business analytics. Several IIMs also offer sector-focused MBAs in agribusiness, sustainability, healthcare, and more.
Admissions
Admission is via the CAT score, followed by written ability tests and personal interviews. Academic record, diversity, and work experience also factor into final selection.
